It’s a wonderful time of the year!!

We have had a very busy few weeks. It feels like we have not stopped going. We had tired to go see the lights several times during the month but either Melissa or one of us had something going on. We finally found a date that worked for all of us. The bad thing was that is was the weekend before Christmas.

Before we went to see the lights, we had the kids open there Christmas presents! We got the kids one present because they have some many people that love them that they get spoiled this time of the year. They have lots of grandparents and family to spend the holidays with!

Coop is always taking pictures of Ruxin with his DS, so we thought the he was big enough for a really camera. He was so excited that he took pictures of very thing.

Allie is always coloring! On everything even if it shouldn’t be colored on. So what is the best thing to get a girl that likes to color? An inkoos. We found the one that she can color on and it glows in the dark. So was really happy for it. She also got a big girl necklace that was a snowflake.

 

The kids were so excited to ride the train, so was Melissa, it was her first time. This year Allie was not afraid to ride it. It was Ruxin’s first time on the train as well.

Before we got to Salt Lake we had to get Ruxin all bundled up. Very time I put him in this thing I think about the Christmas Story and the little boy crying thelling his mom that he couldn’t put him arms down. Makes me laugh.

Allie’s received a little toy type camera from her Nana. It takes pictures and you can upload them to the computer but it is a plastic one. So was taking pictures left and right. She took so many that we were always behind everyone, which on that night it was not a good thing. When we went into the visitor center she took a picture of ever paint of Jesus. it was really cute!

Earlier in the week the kids had their Christmas program. It was fun to watch them in it.

We went to Logan one day did a little shopping. I told Warren that I wanted to have Ruxin in a picture with Santa. Again this is were he is really good to me. We went to the mall and found Santa.

Then we went to Macy’s to pick up a few grocery’s and found the Grinch! The Grinch sure did love Ruxin. I do believe it made his heart grow seven times its size that day.

12-21-12. Ruxin was 3 months old that day. Time has gone by so fast. He is getting so big. He talks more ever day.

Over the weekend we did hair cuts. When I cut Coop’s hair is have to go slow because he has so much thick hair that my clippers catch and pull his hair. Allie also has a lot of hair. the problem with Miss Mae is that her natural curl on the bottom of her hair makes it really hard for her to brush it out. So Melissa and I decided what to do with her hair. it made me really sad to cut off all her hair. But Allie was really excited because she now has hair like Baylee Hatch. I made a deal with Allie, that she has to brush her hair morning and night and not be asked to do it and we would help her get her golden hair this summer. She really wants hair like Rapunzel.

We had the Dude Ranch Christmas party on Sunday. It is always good company and good food. Gary and Sherma always go all out. I have enjoyed working for them and was really sad when I was told that I could no longer work during my pregnancy.

Ruxin woke up from his nap when Gary was holding Him. By this point he was tried of people passing him around.

We had the kids again on Christmas eve. We first stopped at Grandma Sandy’s. The kids were so excited for toys that she found for them. Coop wasn’t as impressed with the purple shirt that he got but would not so raving about the batman legos. Allie just loves anything Barbie.

Later we went out to Grannin and Pops for a little party. Ok little is not the right word. Big, loud and crazy. There are 8 kids between my dad and Janis. Jayson is missing because he is on his mission and Shannon wasn’t there either but 2 of her kids were.

Maggie is the oldest grandkid and just loved Ruxin. I cant believe that she will be 11 in a few months. The funny thing is that is how I remember how long dad and Janis have been married.

The only time that night that the kids were quiet. The loved the listen to the story being read.

Allie was listening the story while Coop was looking at the TV to see what all the adults were laughing at.

Warren captured a really AWW moment with Brex but Brex was really just waving his had in Ruxin’s face. Kids don’t seem to have a concept of a personal bubble. I still like my AWW moment when Warren showed me the picture.

Allie asked Santa for a GIANT Teddy bear, one that was bigger that her. Well Santa Listen and brought her that Teddy Bear named Noel. Coop wanted Lego Batman 2 for his DS.

Melissa snuck a picture of Allie having lunch with her bear. Melissa told us that tu-tu grannin gave to Allie was on her bear. It was a little snug.

Ruxin had been a sick the last few day and has slept most of christmas. My poor little guy.

We went to Grandma Sandy’s to open presents. Brex was really nice and helped his little baby cousin ruxin open all of his presents until he opened his race track then we were all old news. He watched the cars go round and round and then started to put more on the track. Before we opened presents when Brex got to mom’s house I went out to see if I could help bring anything in and Brex runs up to me and yells grandma I am ready to open presents. he stops and looks at me and says Coo I thought you were my grandma. I think maybe its time me to change my hair. ha ha.

Later we went out to my dads. In the evenings Ruxin gets a little fussy. But the one way to may him happy is to off his clothes. He loved to the be a naked baby. He is all smiles. earlier at my moms Ruxin sat and stared at Uncle Lance and would at him but Lance didn’t talk to him. So at my dads I stripped Ruxin down and once again he was my happy little man. Then he was looking at Uncle Lance again so this time I handed him to Lance. He was showing everyone how big and strong he was.

Ruxin loves to stand or sit so he can see everything around him.

We are happy to finally be home and relaxing. We had a wonderful Christmas with the kids and family. But are looking for a few weeks of quiet before I go in for surgery. We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas.

Big Smiles

Ruxin has been full of smiles this week. He tries to laugh but it is so funny to listen to him. He is like his daddy when he wakes up, he is all smiles.

We went to my work Christmas party, it was a lot of fun. Everyone loved him! But what’s not to love about this kid.

 

We also went Christmas shopping! I am so excited to see the kids faces when they open their gifts.

The kids went to Belmont with Alan and Baylee. They had so much fun. Allie was telling my has she liked to be a mermaid in the water.

On our way to Logan this Warren found when he stopped for fuel. Our sleeping babies. They are so amazing.

Other than a quick trip to Logan we had a quiet weekend home. I was sewing some things for my mom and Allie asked if she could help. I told her that we could make some thing for her. So as we start to look through the my fabric Allie told me that she needed a blanket for her and her American Doll (they have matching clothes, so why not matching blankets). As we are finishing up the selection process, Coop starts to take an interests in what is going on. So he has to pick out fabric for his Webkins.

I figured that if we are going to keep having projects when I need to get things made then they needed to learn how to more. So they both ironed their own fabric and tried to cut it out. It was fun showing them how to use the machine to sew. I forgot to get a picture of their blankets, but they did turn out really cute.

Ruxin went to Daycare

Ruxin has is 2 month doctors appointment on Monday. The little guy is 10 pounds and 22 1/4 inches. He is getting so big. His personality is really starting to come out. His doctor told us that we should start to read to him. Warren read him a story that night and he loved it.

Ruxin had is first day of daycare on Thursday and it was my first day back to work. He woke up with big smiles. I can say that I had smiles. He did really well that day. Work was really busy so it helped me get through the day. I was so excited to go get him when my day was over.

Friday Warren’s co-workers got him a birthday cake!

Warren had drill this weekend so Ruxin and I just hung out. We stopped to see my cousin Tera on Saturday and her daughter Kallie told me that Ruxin is handsome like his daddy. She has always loved Warren. Tera was going through some of her sons things and gave Ruxin his first pair of wranglers and cowboy boots. It will be few months before he can were them. My aunt Mary is really crafty. She makes all sorts of things. Well she had an owl hat that was for Tears youngest but it was to small for her, well now Ruxin has a hat to wear this winter. He doesn’t like it very much but it is cute on him.

 

Ruxin finally loves him bath. He is all smiles and kicks like crazy! He is some much fun to watch. He cries when he is taken out of the warm water.

He is starting to sleep longer at night. He has slept through the night twice and I am so happy about it.

Ruxin is a lot like his Dad, He is always happiest in the morning. He always has big smiles when he wakes up.

It is hard to get a picture of him smiling because he either turns his head (like in this picture), or his will just stare at the phone and will stop smiling. He is so funny.

He was really tried in this picture, but he was all big smiles with dad just before he brought the phone out to take a picture.  We sure do love this little guy. So does his cousin Brex. He told Misty, Marshal and my mom the he was Ruxin’s big brother. Brex loves Ruxin a lot.
